Will Trailair Rota-Flex 5th Wheel Pin Box for Lippert 1621 Reduce Chucking

Question:

when towing my rv chucking only happens when the truck shifts gears. Once you let off the throttle it stops until it shifts again. Bumps or hills do not cause any chucking. Will this be adequate enough to reduce it or do I need something with an air bag?

The Trailair Rota-Flex 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC328329 that will replace your Lippert 1621 has a rubber compound in the head, so it will have an affect on your ride, helping to reduce the chucking you are experiencing.

That said, the rubber compound does not have as much give as an air bag, so you will still feel it, just not as drastically. So if you looking to severely limit the chucking and get the most comfortable ride possible the best option to replace your Lippert 1621 pin box is with the Trailair Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC369535.

The Flex Air has the rubber compound as well as an air bag which is going to cushion the chucking to a greater degree and absorb the road shock much better than the rubber compound alone. This is a pricier option but it is also the best for helping the chucking you are experiencing.

I have added a links to video reviews for you to check out of both the Trailair Flex Air # LC369535 and Trailair Rota-Flex # LC328329.
