Troubleshooting CD/DVD Function on Jensen RV Multimedia System JWM60A

Question:

I just wired up a new unit to replace my old unit in a truck camper. All is working but not the CD or DVD. Any disc I put is gives me an error message. The manual says to make sure the packing screws are removed but there is no reference to where they may be and nothing on the back looks like it needs to be removed.

The Jensen RV Stereo - Double DIN - AUX/USB, Bluetooth, jControl - 12V # JWM60A that you referenced has a transport screw on top of the lower portion of the unit and was usually marked with a very large red sticker that says it has to be removed. This was on the older version of this part and I've attached a photo of where that would be.

The models of the # JWM60A that we have do not have this although it is featured in the install instructions which appear to be a carry over as that screw isn't present on the current model.

Since you are having that issue with CD/DVDs I recommend resetting the unit to see if it had issues on initial installation that didn't allow something to cycle correctly. Follow the attached installation instructions to help you with resetting the unit and specifying what CDs and DVDs are not compatible with the unit.
