Tools Needed to Install Draw-Tite Class III # 75614 on 2008 Acura MDX
Question:
What tools do I need to install my hitch? On the video it shows the use of a torque wrench. Power drill to screw in the bolts and an extension attachment to reach the bolts near the rear of the car.

Minimal tools are required to install the Draw-Tite Class III receiver hitch on your 2008 MDX. Having a power driver or air driver is nice, but not necessary. A 19,17 and 10mm socket wrench with extension would work just fine. A torque wrench will be necessary to ensure that the 8 bolts holding the hitch to the frame members are correctly tightened.
Before inserting the bolts, you will want to ensure that the threads of the nuts welded into the vehicle frame are free of road grime and corrosion. Give each weld nut a good coating of a spray lubricant like WD-40 and scrub with a wire brush to remove build-up. Out installers have found that the wire brush from a battery terminal cleaner like part # DW00254 works very well.
