Best Transmission Cooler for 2016 Honda Pilot

Looking for the best option for a tranny cooler for my vehicle as I want to increase my towing capacity from 3500 to 5000.

I can recommend the best transmission cooler for your 2016 Honda Pilot, but it's impossible to increase towing capacity on any vehicle with any added part.

As for the your 2016 Honda Pilot, the best transmission cooler is the Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler # D13503.

This is a plate-and-fin cooler, which means it uses smaller plates that cover more area than other coolers in order to agitate transmission fluid. Because you cannot over-cool fluids, the rule of thumb with transmission coolers is that size matters so the large 11" wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep Series 8000 is going to give you great cooling efficiency. You do need to ensure that you have enough room for this cooler to fit; if you take a look at the linked installations you can see that there are a number of mounting locations possible.

Also keep in mind this will work for your Pilot with a 3.5L V6 engine and 6-speed transmission; the 9-speed transmissions are not compatible. I have added a link to a video review as well for you of the Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler # D13503.
