How To Install Curt Q25 5th Wheel Hitch On 1998 Chevy Silverado 3500
Question:
Bought a Curt Q25 with no frame rails. What kit do I need to buy for this hitch that will fit my 1998 3500 Chevy dually, 8 foot box. This truck must of had a fifth wheel hitch before I owned. Holes and bolts are still in the frame , and holes drilled in box. Now to find brackets that will fit holes in frame already. Also need the four pins and collar keys to hold hitch to rails. Do the frame brackets come with long slotted holes.

The best option we can offer to install a Curt Q25 5th Wheel Hitch on a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 is with the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # RP30035. This is a complete kit that comes with everything you need. That said, it would not be possible for us to get you a kit confirmed to fit the existing hole you have already. There are simply too many options and no way to reference the hole spacing between options.
