Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Wiring to 2012 Toyota Tundra
Question:
The harness for my 2012 Tundra comes with 5 wires.......the harness for the Tekonsha controller comes with 4 wires!!! The extra wire on the Tundra harness appears to be for trail lights, running lights on the trailer. What do I connect the Tundra trail light wire to? Does it connect to the Prodigy harness?

The Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885 will wire like this:
The red wire will connect to the brake switch wire of your vehicle
The blue wire will connect to the brake output wire of your vehicle
The black wire will connect to the 12-volt power wire of your vehicle
The white wire will connect to the ground wire of your vehicle
The extra wire you found will not be used and you can simply tie it up out of the way and not worry about it since you will not need it.
