So far so good but you need one more thing in order to install the Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller # C24VV with Adapter # C51515 in your 2017 Audi Q5. Now that you have the 4-way # 119250KIT installed you will need to add the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7.

This is going to give you the 7-way connector, circuit breakers and rest of the hardware needed to complete your brake controller installation. I have added links to a pair of help articles for you on this kit which are detailed guides which will help you complete the installation.

A wireless brake controller would be a great idea because of how much simpler it will be to use, and I highly recommend the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller # C51180. The Echo is the easiest brake controller on the market to use and install because it is controlled with an app on your smartphone. It will simply plug into the 7-way on the back of your Audi with no additional wiring necessary. This means no bulky unit in your cab, saving you precious space. To complete the set up of your brake controller wiring you will need the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L. This differs from the # ETBC7 in that it does not come with the brake output wire because you will not need to run that wire to use a wireless brake controller like the Echo. For the overall ease of use, the Echo is definitely the way I would go. I have added links to video reviews for you to check out as well.
