The length of your 5th wheel could dictate whether you can use the 4, or need to go with the 6 jack unit.

Use the # LC358590 4 jack system if there will be 20' or less between the center of the landing gear footpad and the center of the rear jack footpad. If your setup requires more than 20' between the jacks, use the 6-point Ground Control system (LC675817) instead.

If you find that you can use either one, there's two large benefits to going with the # LC675817 6 jack version of the of the Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Leveling System versus going with the # LC358590 4 jack version.

With the 6 jack version, you'll have 6 contacts with the ground which provides greater stabilization. The more contact points the more stable your 5th wheel will be. Secondly, with more jacks providing the stabilization, the system won't need to work as hard which means the system will last longer. The price differential is fairly minimal, so it would certainly make sense to go with the 6 jack system for more stability and better weight distribution.

I've linked to a product demonstration video that shows how the system works.
