Light Weight, Budget Friendly Bike Rack Recommendation for 2018 Chevrolet Equinox

Question:

I am looking for a 2-inch hitch bike 2 bike rack to fit my 2018 Equinox. I have a ladies bike and do not want a heavy bike rack. Any recommendations are appreciated. I do not want to spend over $250. Thank you!

For a budget-friendly, lighter weight, 2-bike rack to carry your ladies bike on your Equinox, I highly recommend the Swagman XTC-2 TILT 2-Bike Platform Rack # S64671. This bike rack comes in under your max budget, weighs in at only 30 pounds, and will be easiest style for loading your ladies bike.

A great bonus feature is that this rack will tilt away from the back of your Equinox with your bike loaded so that you can still access your rear cargo area. This bike rack does have a weight capacity of 35 lbs per bike, so as long as your bikes are under 35 lbs, this rack will work great for you.

Platform style bike racks are usually easier to load bikes on than more traditional-style hanging racks because you don't have to work the bikes over the arms or use an adapter bar in order to load your ladies-style bike. To load your bike on this rack you just need to set the wheels inside the wheel hoops and secure the upright arm hook over the top tube of the bike. If your ladies bike doesn't have a top tube, or the tube is very low, you may need to use the Swagman Deluxe Bike Adapter Bar # 64005 to properly secure your bike.
