Best Hitch and Trailer Wiring for 2017 Toyota Sienna XLE AWD

Question:

What are my options for a trailer hitch and wiring harness? Will mostly use for bike rack, but also tow a light fishing boat. I’ve read about varying ground clearances and would opt for more clearance if the installation is about the same.

The best hitch option is the etrailer # e98853 which has the most tongue weight capacity of the hitches that fit your 2017 Toyota Sienna and has the best ground clearance since it has a concealed crosstube. I attached a picture of this hitch installed as well as a link to an install video.

For trailer wiring then the best option is the Tekonsha kit part # 118648 as it's very easy to install and also very reliable.

Since you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
