The Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs # 23-26-27 require either 12 gauge or 10 gauge wire run to one of the two magnet wires. The other wire on the magnet gets connected to a ground on the trailer frame. I've attached an article to assist with the wiring as you requested and have also linked a video of the installation.
If you are adding trailer brakes for the first time, I recommend using the Hopkins Engager Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit w/ Built-In Charger - Side Load - 7" Wire # 20099 as well.
