Recommended Suspension Enhancement Without Air Bags for 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500 Duramax
Question:
I have a 2019 3500 Silverado Duramax crew cab with an 8’ bed. We pull a 40’ fifth wheel with a pin weight of 2000lbs. I am looking to upgrade our factory suspension to help with squat, body roll and porpoising. I recently went on a 3300 mile trip with our fifth wheel and had experienced all three of the above mentioned suspension issues. I don’t think I want air bags. I am concerned they may void our factory warranty and don’t want to deal with letting air out when we unhitch and then refilling them. Any suggestions?

We have just what you're looking for in the RoadActive Suspension; if your 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500 is a single tire rear axle you can use part # RAS3611-HD or if you've got a dually you'll want to use # RAS3611-CHD. The RAS system works with the leaf springs on your 3500 to create a mechanically active suspension system that will help fight the squat and body roll that you've been experiencing while towing that large of a trailer. This system is a great alternative to the air bags since they're no maintenance, and with the 3000-lbs of support, they're going to really help take the brunt of the 2000-lbs pin weight of your trailer.
I've linked a review video of these for you to have a look at.
