How Long Does it Take for the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 to Enter "Sleep" Mode
Question:
I installed a tekonsha P3 on my 2012 ram 1500 I am using the plug and play 3021 harness the install went nice but when I plugged in the harness it turned on but will not turn off. It is drawing from the battery I believe. What am I missing? Thanks!

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 is designed to turn off after about 15 minutes of inactivity. While it is on it does not draw very much power, so it would take a long time to drain the battery. What you can do to make sure it goes to sleep is exit the truck after turning it off, walk away for 15 minutes or so, then come back and peek in through the window to see if it has turned off. You could always unplug the controller if you wanted, but this would cause you to lose all of your controller presets, so it's not really an optimal fix.
