Is Transmission Cooler Needed for 2011 Ford Escape with 2.5 liter
Question:
Need a transmission cooler to install on a 2013 ford escape 2.5 L. I tow it behind a motor home. I see them on your web side. Questions is does the fluid circulate through the cooler when the engine is turned off and being towed.

We have great transmission coolers for your 2011 Ford Escape with a 2.5 liter like the Derale part # D13503 but if you are wanting a cooler for flat towing the vehicle this is not needed at all as heat is not created when a vehicle is being flat towed. A cooler will preserve the life of the transmission in normal use though.

You stated the trans does not need an external trans cooler while being towed 4 wheels down.. Im sorry to say it DOES need an external trans pump that will circulate the fluid when the engine is NOT running and being towed behind my RV..
