Replacement Converter for Magnetex B-W Manufacturers 6300A Model 6345
Question:
We have a 1989 29 Coachman trailer. Would like to talk with someone about replacing the power converter. We have a 45amp series 6300 A model 6345 manufactured by Magnetec B-W Manufacturers with a battery charger. We do not move the trailer, it is in a campground condominium. My question is do we need a converter with a battery charger or is there something else we can use? I have replaced all of the 12 volt bulb type lights with LEDS from E trailer in the past year. The problem we have is after the lights have been on for a while they go out, they come back on in a few minutes. I know the fan in the converter does not work and hasnt in a few years. Do you have any suggestions?

The Replacement Converter for Parallax/Magnetek or WFCO RV Power Centers - 45 Amp # PD4645V is a replacement for your converter. It will work very well based on the cross-referencing for a perfect fit. All converters have a battery charging system built in, so battery power will be there if your shore power goes out. It has multistage charging so it won't be an issue with your battery from overcharging.
It sounds like your unit is overheating which may be a result of the fan not working or the fan not working could be a result of the overheating. Either way, I recommend replacement.

I recently came into the magnetek power plus RV converter/charger series 6300, model 6345, My question is: Since the power supply electrical cord has been severed & the electrical cables for the main, recepts, micro, & GTI fuse box have also been cut, & all the colored wires that go to each individual fuse have also been cut into. Now where do I begin rewiring this unit properly. Can you email me a written & pictorial diagram with the proper instructions of how to rewire this unit please. Thx. Clinton.
