Should Factory Crossbars of 2017 Honda CR-V be Moved to use Rhino-Rack Kayak Carrier
Question:
Hi, We just received our 2 pair Rhino Kayak Holders S512 from eTrailer. We have a Honda CRV 2017 that came with roof racks. See attached picture. The kayaks we are transporting are 10 feet long and sort of fat. Are these roof racks in the correct position? Or, should I move the forward rack further forward? It appears that I have one more position I can move them to that is just forward of the sun roof. Thanks

Thanks for the purchase and you do not have to move the factory crossbars of your 2017 Honda CR-V in order to use the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier # S512.
According to my research your '17 CR-V crossbars have the appropriate spacing as they are and you do not need to reposition the crossbar further forward.
