Troubleshooting RV Water Heater With No Hot Water

Question:

I am trying to change the anode to my 2010 keystone bullet 180 fbs rv propane hot water heater. I removed the anode fitting expecting the anode. None was there! The plastic fitting was just a clean out fitting/ plug! Its an Atwood GC688 water heater. No hot water!

Most of the more recent Atwood water heaters as well as other manufacturers us a plastic tank. The plastic tanks don't need the anode rod to keep the tank from corrosion.

It sounds like you have a problem with the heating element since you don't have any hot water if you have an electric heater. I recommend checking your pilot and regulator if you have propane heater.
