Troubleshooting Hitch Install Where Install Bolts Seem too Large to Fit
Question:
There are 2 M12-1.125x40 HEX bolts included in the package. They do not fix to my car, 2014 RDX. Are there replacement bolts that will fit my car? A prompt response is greatly appreciated!

Dirty or corroded weld nuts on vehicle frames that prevent hitch bolts from threading are actually pretty common. Especially on vehicles that have seen a few winters.
There are a couple ways you can clean out the threads so that the bolts will thread. If you check out the links I attached below you can see how this can be accomplished.
