Will Thule Hull-A-Port Pro Kayak Carrier Fit Thule TracRac SR Crossbars

Question:

I have the Thule Trac Rac SR 43002 on my truck. I am looking at Kayak carriers , specifically the Thule 835 Hull-a-Port Pro Rooftop Kayak Carriers. Will this fit on my Trac Rac SR or do I need a mounting kit? Thanks in advance!

The (discontinued) Thule Hull-A-Port Pro TH935PRO will fit your Thule TracRac SR 43002 but you need the Watersports Adapter # THXADAPT11 to do so since the TracRac SR crossbars are much thicker than your average roof rack crossbar.

If you don't already have that Hull-A-Port Pro carrier then we need to find something else since it was discontinued a while back. I recommend going with the Kuat Class 2 Kayak Carrier # C2R1B instead because it has a weight capacity of 80 lbs plus it comes with mounting hardware that will fit the TracRac SR crossbars. You'll just use the longer bolts in the kit. I've personally fit these on the bars so I know they will work firsthand.
