Recommended 4-Way Flat and Bracket for Factory Car Wiring
Question:
Hello, Im looking to go from my vehicles factory wiring harness female end looks just like the blue female end with this item HM40975-11998 directly to a 4 pin. I dont want to use the 7 pole flip up connector to avoid cutting a hole in my bumper, and dont need the 7 pole rv socket anyway. Then i would still have to buy a 7 to 4 for that socket. This way i leave my 7 pole blue femaile end in the plastic dead end holder behind my bumper, pull it out when needed and convert to 4 pole. Any such adapter? Guess i could use the 7 and 4 way like with this HM40975-11998 but without the wiring since i already have. Thanks

The end you described of the # HM40975-11998 is the standard factory wiring for most vehicles and is called a US car connector. If that is what you have, then you can use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55515.
If you want a bracket you can use # 18144 and # C57202. Another alternative is the Curt Easy Mount Bracket for 4- or 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector # C58001.
