5th Wheel Base Rail Compatibility with 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
Hello, We have an old ranch truck that has bed rails preinstalled. The pin-to-pin length across the bed rails appears to be 39 3/4. Trying to find an etrailer installable hitch that fits. Can you help me with this? Havent seen anything after a bit of searching on your website. Thank you.

It sounds like you have 5th wheel above bed rails installed but the dimensions you gave don't specifically line up. The dimensions you are looking for on standard 5th wheel base rails like # RP30035 are the footprint of the hitch base which are typically 22 inches by 20-1/2 but have the option of 29 inches by 22 inches. I've attached a photo to show you where this is measured on the rails.
If you have something different, we likely do not have a fit. If your rails do have the measurements for a standard 5th wheel hitch compatibility, then there are many options available which I have linked.
