How to Determine Correct Torque Setting for New Disc Brake Setup on Boat Trailer
Question:
Just purchased new all in one brake hub and rotors, along with new bearings, and all hardware. Im unsure of what to torque these to once replacing them. Its a 3-axle 12,000 lb boat trailer. any insight? Thank you for your help.

What you'll want to do is refer to your instructions for the proper torque specs. For example, the instructions for the 5.2K - 6K Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR526D call for the brake mounting flange to be welded to the spindle and then the caliper guide bolts to be torqued to 40-50 ft-lbs. I wasn't able to find what exact brake kit you have so you'll want to make sure you follow your instructions.
When it comes to the wheel bolts that has a few different factors in it as well. I am attaching a sheet that shows how to determine the correct torque for you to check out.
