Can An RV Bumper Mount Trailer Hitch Be Used for Towing

Question:

I have a 19ft pull behind camper I’m needing a bumper mounted hitch to pull my golf cart I’ve seen them on your site but wasn’t sure how to find out if the bumper will hold the weight it’s a hollow 4 inch bumper

The best bumper mount trailer hitch we offer is the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # E-100 which is rated for 3,500 lbs gross trailer weight. That said, these are really more for bikes racks and cargo carriers. In order to determine the weight capacity of the bumper you'd need to reach out to the trailer manufacturer.

I instead recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13703 for towing which will be a much better option.
