Does Computer of 2019 Ford F-150 Need Flashed to Install Aftermarket Brake Controller?
Question:
If we install this on our 2019 Ford F150, will we need to have a Ford dealership program/flash the controller system? VIN#1FTEW1EPXKKE***** Thanks!

Expert Reply:
If you install the Prodigy P3 # 90195 you will not need to have the computer flashed. In most models it will simply plug in using the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 22292, however some do not have power run to the brake controller port under the dash. If this is the case, we have wiring kit # BRK-ELECKIT which you can use to run power to the brake controller port. I've attached a video to help with all of this.
