Can Roof Cargo Box be Mounted Directly to Travel Trailer Roof
Question:
Can a box be directly mounted onto the roof, or must it be attached to a rail. The box we have on our old travel trailer was mounted to the roof itself.

Ultimately you can mount a box like the Yakima SkyBox 18 Cargo Box # Y07336 however you want, you just have to remember that if you use/install it in a way it wasn't built for then the warranty will be voided and you'll be responsible if anything goes wrong.
If you do try to mount this directly to the roof of your camper then you'll want to make sure that you have solid anchor points and you aren't just putting some bolts through the roof as that wouldn't be very secure.
