Replacement Leaf Springs on my 2016 Forest River 27RR

Question:

Any idea what the proper replacement springs for a 2016 forest river 27rr are? These were overloaded and are flattened, and eye to eye measures ~26.5 right now. My guess is they are supposed to be 25 1/4. Honestly, I carry pretty close to capacity, and some heavy bumps beat these ones up. Id like to stiffen it up slightly, so was thinking of a little beefier spring set. Please help

With those measurements in mind and the fact that your camper has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (total max weight of camper, gear and water loaded) of almost 9,000 lbs you have one solid choice.

Using the 5-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles part # e78SR offers the 25 1/4" eye to eye you want and uses the same 9/16" bolt size.

These springs are rated for 3,000 lbs. each so in total they will give you 12,000 lbs. of capacity. Now your camper is only rated for 8,940 ish lbs. so do not exceed that but it will hold up longer than the factory suspension.

It is likely you will need a u bolt kit like part # APUBR-8 to attach the springs because they always seem to need to be cut off rather than coming willingly.
