Will this trailer connector Item # HM40975 fit into the factory cutout in the bumper of 2020 Silverado 1500 if you remove the bracket?

Yes, the 7-way and 4-way part # HM40975 does fit the trailer wiring bracket you have on your 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500. We had the chance to install this on a 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 which is set up the exact same as your 2020 Silverado and we found it fit and worked well. See attached install video link.
