Can I Install a Tekonsha Primus IQ Brake Controler on 2018 Jeep JKU
Question:
I bought this controller for another vehicle, will it work ok on our 2018 Wrangler JKU? We want to add it to our setup for our camper. Jeep came with a 4 pin flat connector. Have purchased and installed a 4 to 7 adapter and ran the other 3 wires up to engine bay and into tub.

Yes. The Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160 is compatible with your 2018 Jeep JKU, but there are no available adapters to make it an easy plug and play installation so you will need to hard wire it into your vehicle. I've linked the installation of a similar Tekonsha brake controller for you to use as a guide during installation, since the process will be identical. You will use some of the wiring that you've run when installing your 4/7 way connector during this process, but you'll also need to tap into the brake light switch- which is shown in the video.
To complete this installation you may need some heat shrink butt connectors like the # DW05745-5 to make your wiring connections.
