Does the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller Need To Be Setup Each Time It Is Plugged In

Do you have to leave the device plugged into your 7-way car jack to keep it paired or do you have to reset it up with your phone and pin # each time you unplug it?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 only needs to be setup once, for each trailer. Therefore no, you don't have to go through the setup procedure each time you remove the device from power. Once you have setup the device for that trailer, you can plug it in and hit the road without further action. The settings are saved on the phone within the app.
