Trailer Hitch Compatibility with 2005 Porsche Cayenne
Question:
Hello, I have a 2005 Porsche Cayenne, and I dont like the Curt hitch you have available # 13220, because I will need to cut a larger whole in the rear facia since it has the tow hooks on the sides. However is see that there is an overlap for the Audi Q7, that it offers both the Draw-Tite # 75950 and Curt # 13220 trailer hitch, so, if the Audi could use both of these, why would my Porsche Cayenne not be able to use the Draw-Tite hitch, which I do like better? The Audi, Touareg and Cayenne share a platform, but for me the key is the Curt which 13220 which is listed to work on my Cayenne is also listed for the Audi Q7. So if the Draw tite 75950 is listed for the Q7, why would it not work on the Cayenne? It would be great if you could clear this up, as I would really like to use the Draw Tite on my Cayenne. Thanks

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13220 is the only confirmed fit we have for your 2005 Porsche Cayenne. Although this hitch is confirmed to fit other models, the other models are not confirmed to fit with your bumper. The Draw-Tite hitch # 75950 has not been tested on your vehicle according to the manufacturer so I cannot confirm the fit. There are support parts of the hitch that stick out differently than the Curt Hitch so it would be a gamble but it may fit I simply cannot confirm or deny it as it hasn't been tested.
