Does Valterra RV Water Pressure Regulator and Gauge Actually Regulate Water Pressure

Question:

Does this actually regulate the pressure between 40/50:psi or simply just tell you what the pressure is? We only occasionally use city water and mostly drycamp, but I want some protection for those occasions where we I might have hookups— I read a review once that said this does not regulate, but it was 8 years ago — Valterra RV Water Pressure Regulator and Gauge for RVs - Brass - Lead Free Item # A01-1124VP

The Valterra RV Water Pressure Regulator and Gauge for RVs # A01-1124VP does actually regulate the water pressure to 40-50 psi to help protect your RV system just like you're wanting. Unfortuantely I can't really speak to a review from 8 years ago, but I can say that we have been told by Valterra this regulates the pressure and you can see it reflected in the reviews of this product on our site.
