Availability of 2" Hitch Receiver for a Bike Rack on a 2020 Volkswagen Golf GTI

Question:

Just purchased a 2020 VW GTI. Looking for a trailer hitch i can use for a bike rack only. No towing. I would also like a 2 inch hitch. Any recommendations?

Although EcoHitch hasn't confirmed it yet (as of April 2020), you should be able to use the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7375 on your 2020 Volkswagen Golf GTI. This has the same installation as the Draw-Tite # 24979 which fits both a 2019 and a 2020 GTI so by the same token the EcoHitch will fit as well.

This is the only 2" receiver available for your GTI but it also has the advantage of a removable receiver so that you won't even know it's installed then you aren't using your bike rack.

Attached is an installation video of this hitch on a 2018 Volkswagen Golf GTI that you can use as a reference. It would be worth watching it just to make sure that everything looks the same on your vehicle since it's hot off the press.
