Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation For 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport
Question:
Hello. I have a 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport. Can you please tell me which brand of 2 receiver hitch for my vehicle is the better one to go with? I noticed the Curt brand as well as others. Thanks.

There are two hitch options for the 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport, Curt Class III 2" hitch part # C13377 and Draw-Tite Class III 2" hitch part # 76177 which are almost exactly the same. The installation, weight capacity and concealed cross tube design are the same for both hitches. The only real difference is that the Curt option is assembled in the USA which is why I recommend it. I have attached an installation video for your reference.
If you need wiring, I recommend Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118757 which is a very reliable brand that lasts a bit longer compared to the other options especially the converter boxes. Please see the attached video of the install.
If you plan on doing some towing you may consider the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. If you are not sure how much rise/drop you may need in a ball mount to tow your trailer level, I recommend to take a look at the helpful article I have attached about how to figure the amount of rise or drop you may need.
