What is the Wire Gauge Of the Wires on the HM47210
Question:
I see 2 past QandA items that address the wire gauge of the HM47210. There are 2 past QandAs that have different answers. A spec sheet would be great that identifies wires gauges or max current of each wire by color. What is the gauge of wires or max current for the different colored wires in the assembly? Expert Reply:
The maximum amperage on wires is going to depend on the gauge of the wire. The wires on the Hopkins Endurance # HM47210 are as follows:
Red, Blue and White wires = 12 gauge (20 amps max)
Green, Yellow, Brown and Purple = 16 gauge (10 amps max)
I did call Hopkins to confirm these specs with their product manager.
