Question:
Hello, looking for 7 pin, truck side for a 98 dodge p/u. OE has a rectangular connector on factory harness. Would like to find an OE style connector or adapting harness to fit new style of round factory. Thank you

If your 1998 Dodge Ram already has the tow package wiring present at the rear of your vehicle, you can use the Curt # C56071 to plug directly into that wiring and create a 7 way on your truck. I also recommend adding the 7 way mounting bracket # 18138 if you're not mountin this in the truck bed, so that it doesn't just hang at the rear of your vehicle.
If you also need a brake controller, I recommend using the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160 and adapter plug # 3020-P which gives you a plug and play adapter that can be used if you have the factory tow package wiring. This brake controller offers proportional braking to your trailer and is one of our most popular and highly rated brake controllers (check out all of the positive reviews).
I've also linked some installation videos that you may find helpful, as well as a photo of what the connector on the C56071 looks like so you can make sure it matches the one on the rear of your truck.
