5th Wheel Base Rail and Bracket Kit for a 2000 Ford F-350
Question:
I just purchased a 2000 f350 ford with a valley 5th wheel attachment. The rails have a single bolt in each end going through the truck frame. Will this set up hold the 20k towing package made by Reese from my old f250 ?

Valley went out of business a number of years ago so I'm honestly not sure what the weight rating would have been for one of their older systems, plus you're supposed to use new hardware each time you install 5th wheel base rails so I'd get a whole new setup for your 2000 Ford F-350 just to be on the safe side.
To install new rails you can either us the Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit # RP30035, or you can use the Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails # RP50082-58. The difference is going to be that for the universal kit you'll need to drill into the frame of your F-350 while the quick-install kit comes with brackets that match up to existing holes in your truck frame.
These will both fit your pickup and be able to withstand whatever weight your Super Duty is rated for. Please note that if your Valley hitch is a UBS (the Valley underbed rail kit) then you'll need to get a new 5th wheel hitch as the compatible rail kit is now obsolete.
Attached are installation videos for both options that you can check out.
