Troubleshooting Phoenix 4000 Electric Jack Not Working

Question:

I installed my phoenix 4000. When I connect it to the battery the jack gives a beep and the led work light flashes once. Thats it. Jack wont operate, cant even turn on work light. Red/green led doesnt light either.

Phoenix Electric Trailer Jack - A-Frame - 22-1/2" Lift - 4,000 lbs # UF38-944040 sounds like it needs a better ground connection. You can wire it directly to the battery like in the installed video or you can install the ground wired to the trailer frame directly with a bare metal to metal connection. The battery itself may need a charge so I'd check that out as well by connecting to a different battery or charging the trailer battery then reconnecting the jack.

If the red LED flashes for 3 seconds, a high amp situation exists and the jack will automatically turn off after that. The jack will then wait 5 seconds and then reset. This process is repeated if it continues to sense a high amp draw. You will need to determine the cause of the issue by checking your wiring and connections.

I am having same issue as well. Battery tests fine. I have tried grounding to trailer frame and also direct to battery.

@HW Are you getting any lights on the control panel for the Phoenix Electric Trailer Jack # UF38-944040? Have you tried to operate the jack manually to ensure it is not damaged internally?

@BudM I'm having the exact same problem same model. 38-944040 mine is grounded directly to battery, battery is good. Little chirp and blink when inserting 30 Amp fuse but no operation, light won't work no lights on panel at all. Worked last fall when I installed it 1st try this spring and it's dead as a doornail???

@DaleB It sounds like there is either a problem with the control pad itself or the internal circuit board. As it sounds like yours is within the 2-year warranty you will want to reach out to Ultra-Fab to get the parts replaced under warranty.
