Will the Rightline Ace Cargo Bag Fit on a 2005 Honda Pilot with Side Rails

Yes, you can use the Rightline Ace Rooftop Cargo Bag, # RL100A20, on your 2005 Honda Pilot with standard side rails. This cargo bag can mount to side rails, crossbars or cargo baskets. There are four tie-down straps on the sides bag that wrap around the side rails to secure the bag to the roof.

Before you load any cargo on the roof of your vehicle, you will want to check the owners manual or with a Honda dealer for the roof weight capacity of your vehicle. You should also make sure that the bottom of the cargo bag and the roof of your vehicle are clean and free of debris to prevent scratches.

For added stability, you could add the Yakima Roof Rack, # Y00409, # Y03536 and # Y33TR. This roof rack will provide two crossbars that run side to side on your vehicle and will provide additional attachment points for a cargo bag.
