Timbrens or Firestone Air Bags for 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Towing a Trailer

Question:

I have a 2019 TRD Pro. I tow a trailer and the sag is terrible understandable since it has an off-road suspension. I am debating between Timbrens or Firestone Airbags. I am leaning towards the Airbags because my thought is that when deflated, the suspension travel will be unaffected or at least very mildly so as opposed to the Timbrens where the travel will be more significantly reduced. Am I correct in my assertion or will the deflated airbags still limit the downward travel?

I highly recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2445 for your 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD over the Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops # TABSOSR because the Firestone air bags are going to be a greater help to your Tundra when you're towing.

In regards to the suspension travel you asked about, the Firestone air bags only need to be inflated to a minimum 5 psi so when you aren't towing it will essentially be like you don't have them on. The Timbrens are going to be much more rigid so when unloaded, if you go over a bump, for example, you will definitely feel it.

So you were definitely leaning the right way with the best suspension enhancement for your 2019 Tundra TRD with the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2445.

If you plan on installing these yourself you'll definitely need Air Hose Cutter # AL10530, and I do recommend adding a compressor, the Air Command Compressor System - Wireless - Smartphone Enabled # F2610. This compressor is unique because it allows you to adjust the air pressure in the bags from the comfort of your truck's cab with just your smartphone. To mount it you can use the No-Drill Mount Kit for Firestone Air Command 2610 # F2612.

I have added links to video reviews and installs for you to check out as well.
