Lock Needed to Replace Original Baggage Door Locks with Slam Latches

Question:

I have a 2014 Keystone Outback 301bq. I want to replace the original locks with slam latches. Can you recommend the products I will need to do this? Also, on the longer doors, that have the lock in middle and two turn cams on the sides, should I get two slam latches for the outside to keep the corners tight, or will one in the middle suffice? Seems like there should be something for you ensuring the corners are good and secure?

The Global Link RV Baggage Door Slam Latch part # 295-000015 is going to be an excellent slam door latch that will work well as a replacement for most trailers. That said, I can't confirm compatibility with any one specific trailer so you'll need to do some measuring before hand to ensure you have the needed 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" cutout needed for installation. The nice thing about the Global Link RV Baggage Door Slam Latch is that it can be keyed alike if you order more than one so you can then use the same key for all the slam door latches on your trailer.

In regards to using one or multiple slam door latches on a single door, this will really be up to the discretion of the installer.
