Trailer Lights on a Cargo Carrier Flash Rapidly with Brake Applied on a 2008 Harley Ultra Classic
Question:
I added a carring rack to my trailer hitch ball. For a small icechest. I added two small NON LED lights to it. I pull a trailer also sometimes. The trailer lights work fine. But when I use my smaller carrier my blinker lights start blinking fine till I press my brakes, then they blink fast. I have grounded both lights back to the plug on bike. Should I have ground from rack to bike frame?

It sounds like the lights are hyperflashing. This normally occurs with LED lights. You can try moving the grounds for the lights to the carrier. If the connector on the bike is set up for separate turn signals and brake lights but the lights you added are designed for a combined brake and turn signal, that could be the problem.
