Can a 2004 Lexus GX470 Be Flat-Towed Behind a Motorhome
Question:
I have a 2004 Lexus GX470 that I would like to tow with a motorhome. It has a manual high/neutral/low lever and an electronic switch to engage the 4 wheel drive. Can I tow this vehicle at highway speeds without causing damage to the vehicle? Thank,

Expert Reply:
The 2004 Lexus GX470 can be flat-towed behind a motorhome with all four wheels down. That said, in order to do so you will need to obtain a driveshaft disconnect coupling from a third party which is what allows the vehicle to be flat-towed without damage. I have attached for you below some parts you will need for the above.
