Is Curt Echo Compatible with Tekonsha OEM Wiring Kit for 2015 Ford Transit T350
Question:
I am wanting to install a 7 way harness on my 2015 Transit that does not have the factory tow package. I would like to use the curt echo as a brake controller, can you tell me if the two are comparable, and what I do with the blue wire if not connecting to a brake controller? Is it simply cut and capped? Thanks.

Yes, the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness # 22114 can be used with the Curt Echo # C51180 on your 2015 Ford Transit T350. You can simply cap off the blue wire as you mentioned for the installation or you can install it completely with the Tekonsha brake controller plug so that in the event that you were to sell the vehicle you are able to say that it is plug-in ready for a brake controller.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch then I recommend the Draw-Tite # 75912 which has a mounting bracket that you pair with part # 18138 so that your 7-Way is readily available at the back of your Transit T350.
Also, don't forget about a ball mount to finish up your towing rig! I recommend checking out the kit # 989891 which includes a 1-7/8" hitch ball, 2" hitch ball, a ball mount with a 3/4" rise/2" drop, a pin and clip, as well as a storage bag. You will want to check out the attached ball mount article to ensure that this ball mount has the correct rise/drop for your towing application.
Attached are some videos and instructions for you to check out for all of these parts.
