Can a 2020 Jeep Renegade Upland Edition with 2.4L Engine Be Flat Towed
Question:
I have been reading different views on flat towing a 2020 Jeep Renegade. The 2.4l 2020 Jeep Renegade is on the list of Good Sam 2020 Flat Towable vehicles, can it be flat towed or not? Confused

I understand why this might be confusing and hopefully I can clear this up. From what I've been able to determine from my research, the 2020 Jeep Renegade Upland Edition with 2.4L Inline 4 Engine and 4wd is not flat towable. I found this information through some of my resources on vehicle flat towing, as well as in the owner's manual for the 2020 Jeep Renegade that we have in our system. I would recommend also confirming this information in your copy of the owner's manual (most likely on page 373- for recreational towing). As briefly mentioned above, if you have a front wheel drive version of the 2020 Jeep Renegade you can tow this vehicle with the front two wheels off the ground on a tow dolly like the Demco Kar Kaddy # DM9713045. If you do have the 4wd, which from what I can tell is standard on the Upland Edition, you will need to tow with all 4 wheels off the ground.
Typically Jeeps are flat towing friendly, but this appears to be one of the models that is not. If you haven't already purchased it, you may want to consider going with a Jeep Wrangler, which is one of the most flat towing friendly vehicles.
