Does Higher Capacity Trailer Dolly Move Trailer More Easily
Question:
My trailer Sure Trac single axle 5000 GVW dump trailer. If my calculations are correct I need a 500 lb weight dolly.if a 500 lb. is sufficient would a 600 lb dolly move the trailer more easily?

That's certainly a reasonable assumption, but the capacity of the trailer dolly won't actually be a factor in how easily it moves your trailer.
What matters is the dolly itself and how it's configured. For example, I recommend the Rack'em Trailer Dolly # RA20, which has a 500 lb tongue weight capacity with 24" wheel spacing for easy maneuverability.
This dolly will work with a coupler that accepts a 1-7/8" hitch ball; if you need a dolly with a 2" ball I have added a link below to our entire selection of dollies for you.
