Roof Mounted Cargo Basket Recommendation for a 2002 Suzuki XL-7
Question:
I have a 2002 Suzuki XL-7 that only has one bar on each side going front to back. Does the mounting hardware work on this type of factory roof rack.

You have side rails on your 2002 Suzuki XL-7. To mount the Curt basket, # C18115, you will need to add crossbars that run from side to side. For a basket that will fit the factory side rails without adding anything else, you can use the Surco Safari Rack, # SPS4560-1101. This rack will clamp to the side rails on the vehicle.
If you want to go with the Curt basket and add crossbars, you will need Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401 and 53" WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420. This system also fits around the factory side rails and provides crossbars to mount the basket. I have included a link showing a typical installation of the roof rack and a link to the instructions for the Curt basket.
