Troubleshooting Brake Controller Not Receiving Input From Stop Lamp Switch on 2018 Ram 1500
Question:
The 2018 Ram I am working on does not have any input to the brake controller. Normally it is provided by the stop light circuit. The stop lights do work on the vehicle but I do not get power in the factory plug of the vehicle, when the vehicle stop lights are activated. Is there a fuse somewhere between the connection of this circuit and the brake controller plug?

What are you using to test the stop lamp switch feed on the factory plug? If you're using an incandescent tester, the circuit doesn't put out enough power to light the tester, you'll need to use a LED tester or a voltmeter to detect the voltage. Also, the circuit won't power up unless the ignition is switched on.
Another thing to consider is that the 'powernet' multiplex wiring system isn't compatible with all brake controllers. You submitted your question from a product page for the Tekonsha brake control harness, part # 3024-P which leads me to believe you might be using a Tekonsha brake controller. If you're not using a # 39510 Voyager, a # TK90160 Primus, a # 90885 Prodigy P2, a # 90195 P3, a # TK63VR Brake EVN or an # 5504 Activator IV, your Tekonsha controller won't be compatible with your truck because it can't read the stop lamp signal. This might explain why you're having difficulties.
The circuit feeding the stoplamp switch comes through the BCM or Body Control Module (computer), so it's not fused.
