How To Install 5th Wheel Hitch On 2015 Ford F-350 With Side Mount Air Bag Brackets
Question:
I have a 2015 f350 with a pacbrake airbag kit in the rear, I’ve been told many brackets won’t work due to clearance wussies with the airbags and upper mounting brackets. Do you know if the inner or outer bracket kit will work ?

In order to install a 5th wheel hitch on a 2015 Ford F-350 with air bag kit that mounts outside the frame rails you will have to go with a universal option, the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # RP30035. The reason for this is because the frame brackets are much smaller so you should have space to mount them in front of and behind the air bag brackets. That said, you will need to drill holes into the frame to mount them but that is the only option to keep the air bags if the upper brackets are mounted on the outside of the frame rail.
If you don't already have a 5th wheel hitch picked out, the Curt 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider part # C16541 will do a great job for you and it will work well with the above kit.
