Installing Fuse Holder on Battery in Trailer Wiring Harness 118345 for 2000 Mercury Mountaineer

Question:

I have a 2000 mercury mountaineer and bought the 118345. I do not understand the instruction saying to connect the fuse holder to the battery. How do i do this?

Expert Reply:

The yellow fuse holder starts out as a closed loop. You will need to cut it in half. One end connects to the power wire you ran from the wiring harness. The other end will connect to the positive battery terminal. Inserting the fuse should be the last step.

Take a look at the video I have linked at about the 3:40 mark that shows our installer putting in the fuse holder. I have included some additional links that will help with installation.
