Buyers Products 18 Inch Hitch Receiver Extension with Step Towing Capacity Reduction
Question:
Just to make sure I understand correctly....this extension will reduce my hitch capacity by 1/3. I have a torklift superhitch original rated at 17,000 lbs towing and 1700 lbs tongue when used without a weight distribution hitch. My trailer has a tongue weight of 800 pounds and a dry weight of 5000 pounds. 17000 - 1/3 = 11390 pounds 1700 - 1/3 = 1139 pounds So I should be more than ok to use this extension?

You are correct, using the 30% capacity reduction of the Buyers Products Hitch Extension # 3371804017, the capacity of your Torklift hitch, and the weight of your trailer you would easily have the capacity to tow your trailer!
